DATASETS FRONTIER

Terms of use

Notice of changes, 8 November 2026. Two changes to these terms take effect on 24 November 2026, at least 14 days after this notice: the consumer guarantee wording now reads "personal, domestic or household use or consumption", as the Australian Consumer Law puts it (it read "personal, domestic or household use"); and the description of the service now says it "is designed to assemble" evidence (it read "assembles"). Until 24 November 2026 the terms published on 7 November 2026 apply, except for one further change that applies now because it only removes a reference to something that no longer exists: the Acceptable use section no longer mentions the site owner's sign-in page, which has been retired.

These terms govern your use of this website and the Datasets Frontier services, operated by Datasets Frontier Pty Ltd (ABN 82 703 817 234). They start on 7 November 2026. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What the service is

Datasets Frontier is designed to assemble source-linked evidence about building code requirements at a point in time, and its tools help review, compare and organise that evidence. The service is coaching and evidence organisation: it is not certification, approval, or engineering, legal or compliance advice. Outputs are drafts for a qualified person to review, and that person stays responsible for every decision the evidence informs.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and only as intended. Do not probe or attempt to bypass access controls or rate limits; do not upload anything unlawful, misleading or harmful; do not upload personal information about others unless you are authorised to share it; and do not present the site's outputs as certified approvals.

Your uploads

You keep every right you hold in what you upload. You give Datasets Frontier a non-exclusive, revocable licence to store and process your uploads only to operate the service for you, and to show the results back to you or to people your link was shared with. That licence does not extend to marketing, re-use for other customers, or training of third-party models by us. How long uploads are kept, and who processes them, is set out in the Privacy page.

Our intellectual property

The site's design, text and software belong to Datasets Frontier or its licensors, and you receive a limited right to view and use them for the purposes the site offers. Source material quoted by the service belongs to its owners: the National Construction Code 2025 content shown in examples is used under the CC BY 4.0 licence from the Australian Building Codes Board.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, including that services are provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits them, nor excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other law which cannot lawfully be excluded. For services of a kind not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption, and where it is fair and reasonable for us to rely on this term, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, at our choice, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.

Availability and changes

The service is a design-stage pilot. We may change these terms by giving you at least 14 days' notice by email or on this page. If a change is materially to your disadvantage you may end your use and, if you have prepaid, receive a pro-rata refund. We may pause the service without notice for security or urgent maintenance, and will restore it as soon as reasonably practicable. We will give reasonable notice before ending a pilot. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from them have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, except where a law gives you a non-excludable right to a different forum.
